Providing Career Design for Employees

Since 2012, China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau (CPP) has cooperated with domestic management consulting companies in conducting career design programs for employees. Through data research, interviews, questionnaire studies, internal discussion, and professional review, CPP has constructed a career design system covering employee information, as well as career development channels, job qualification standards, job qualification standard certification and training development. The system provides targeted training for employees in business administration, project management, professional skills, and operation service. By strengthening coordination between talent cultivation and employee development, the system offers guidance for employee development, and cultivates talents for the Company’s development.

The first pilot training on career design took place at China Petroleum Pipeline Institute in June 2013, in which 49 employees received training on career planning concepts and practical experience of pilot work. Experts were also invited from consulting companies to provide information on the consulting results of employees’ career design.
