PetroChina Halfaya Company conducted phased environmental and social impact assessment, and maintained close communications with the local communities. In 2023, the company held many meetings with local residents, social groups and relevant organizations on the impact of environmental monitoring, biodiversity conservation, and buffer zones, to discuss and record all the concerns, needs and suggestions of the local people. Moreover, the company made regular visits to communities near the oilfields to know their requests, and took targeted solutions, hence enhanced mutual understanding and friendship.

In 2023, the company held open day event among other activities, inviting over 100 representatives from local media, colleges, and the Ministry of Oil to visit the oilfield production base, helping them to have a better understanding of oilfield operation, production, as well as the management of public welfare programs.
