On April 28, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) released the 2026 list of recipients of the National May Day Labor Award. A total of 15 collectives and 7 individuals from CNPC received this national honor. Among them, four units won the National May Day Labor Award (collective category), seven individuals received the National May Day Labor Medal, and 11 teams were given the National Pioneer Worker Title.
The National May Day Labor Award is one of the most prestigious honors granted by China to workers and collectives. It aims to encourage employees to innovate and improve efficiency in their positions and contribute their expertise to the development of their industries. According to the ACFTU, the 2026 selection has placed greater emphasis on frontline workers, while also focusing on cutting-edge fields such as new energies, artificial intelligence and integrated circuits.
