 | | | | CNPC sends oil products to quake-hit areas | | | | | CNPC immediately launched its contingency plan after the earthquake and sent oil products from Northeast, South, East and Northwest China by road, rail and waterways, so as to ensure oil supplies reach quake-hit areas in Sichuan.
Ocean Tanker 1006 of Chongqing Marketing Company reached the quake-hit areas at 8am on May 15, while Ocean Tanker 1009 with 20,000 metric tons of oil products from East China Marketing Company arrived at the Haibin Oil Terminal at 10am on the same day.
Early on the morning of May 14, special trains carrying 7,500 metric tons of oil products from Northeast Marketing Company left Dalian, Liaoyang and Jinzhou for Sichuan.
On the evening of May 15, over 1,600 metric tons of oil products including aviation kerosene allocated by Northwest Marketing Company and transported by 217 tanker trucks from Shaanxi, Hebei, Hubei, Hunan, Henan, Inner Mongolia and Ningxia, arrived at airports in Sichuan and Chongqing, as well as the hardest-hit areas of Mianyang, Deyang and Guangyuan.
Currently, oil products from CNPC are being continuously transported to quake-hit areas in Sichuan.
