 | | | | Nanchong Refining and Chemical Complex restarts operations | | | | | After the earthquake on May 12, CNPC Nanchong Refining and Chemical Complex launched its contingency plan, safely shutting down all production facilities without any oil or gas leaks, casualties or pollution accidents. At 8pm on May 13, the aromatization unit which produces premium gasoline restarted operations. At 9:30am on May 14, the atmospheric and vacuum unit restarted operations , and produced qualified diesel on the early morning of May 15.
So far, Nanchong Refining and Chemical Complex has resumed production after working for 50 hours to deal with the impact of the earthquake. The plant is striving to reach a full-load processing capacity of 3,800 metric tons per day, so as to provide more oil products to the quake-hit areas.
