Subsidiaries of CNPC in Sichuan Province fully participate in earthquake resistance and disaster relief
 
After the Wenchuan earthquake took place, the CNPC-affiliated Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company and Chuanqing Drilling & Exploration Corporation immediately launched an emergency response plan and established a leading team for earthquake resistance and disaster relief to deal with disaster relief work according to the requirements of the Urgent Notice on Implementing Earthquake Resistance and Disaster Relief and Strengthening Safe Operation Management issued by CNPC. Leaders of the two companies went to Jiangyou, Qingbaijiang, Qiongxi and other quake-stricken areas surrounding Chengdu to guide earthquake resistance and disaster relief activities and visit and comfort frontline workers.

 The General Hospital of Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company is fully engaged in quake relief.
While carrying out disaster relief work, the subsidiaries of CNPC in Sichuan Province are sincerely performing their social responsibilities and actively supporting the local government in disaster relief work. The General Hospital of Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company dispatched two ambulances with medical staff to earthquake-stricken areas and two doctors were sent to Chengdu No.3 Hospital and treated 39 patients. Five emergency operations been performed and 230 patients were treated. The Mining Community Service Department arranged for eight doctors and two anesthetists from other areas to support the General Hospital. Southwest Sichuan Public Management Center sent an emergency aid team of 52 people (including 16 medical staff), three commanding cars, and two buses to Wenchuan County and dispatched eight reservists to the Reservist Team of Zigong Branch Military Zone for disaster relief in Wenchuan area.


Chengdu Natural Gas Chemical Plant organized emergency night production and supplied four tanks of helium (25 cubic meters) to Armed Police Sichuan Firefighting Division for night illumination, 30 bottles of medical oxygen to Chengdu No.3 Hospital, and 40 bottles of medical oxygen to No.1 and No.2 Hospital of Shuangliu County and the General Hospital of Southwest Oil and Gas Company. Besides, Chuanqing Transportation Company dispatched a 16-ton crane to Daxinan Parking Lot Area of Chengdu and five trucks to Suining for earthquake resistance and disaster relief.
