On December 6, the 100Kt-grade crude oil terminal for Guanxi Petrochemical Company, a subsidiary of CNPC, was completed at Port Qingzhou. The 100Kt-grade shipping channel at the Port was also opened at the same day.

The 100Kt-grade crude oil terminal is an auxiliary facility for the 10Mt/a refining project at Guanxi Petrochemical. The terminal has an L-shaped offshore layout with its hydraulic structure of gravity pier, and is connected to the coast by a 240m-long trestle. The terminal has a total length of 609 meter, with a 492m*36m platform for mooring at both sides. The outer side has two 100Kt crude oil berths and the inner side has two refined product berths of 5Kt and 3Kt respectively. The hydraulic engineering construction of the terminal was commenced on July 3, 2007.
