CNPC President Jiang Jiemin sends a letter of consolation to Brig-Gen. Lu Thi , Minister of Energy of the Union of Myanmar in regard to the cyclone disaster
On May 3, hit by the tropical cyclone Nargis, Myanmar suffered from heavy casualties and severe financial losses. To express CNPC's friendship for the Myanmar people, CNPC donates USD 300,000 to Myanmar Ministry of Mines to support the country's efforts in disaster-relief and reconstruction.
CNPC President Jiang Jiemin sends a letter of consolation to Brig-Gen. Lu Thi, Minister of Energy of the Union of Myanmar in regard to the cyclone disaster. In the letter, Mr. Jiang Jiemin says that as Myanmar's good neighbor, Chinese people deeply sympathize with what Myanmar people have to suffer. For a long time, China and Myanmar have been maintaining a traditionally close and brotherly friendship based on mutual understanding and good neighborly and friendly relations. Strategic energy cooperation between CNPC and Myanmar Ministry of Energy as well as Myanmar's energy enterprises is being strengthened all the time. We firmly believe that under the leadership of Myanmar government, Myanmar people will finally win the battle against the disaster and rebuild their lives.
