On August 24, the 29th Olympic Games came to a successful close and the total gas consumption of Beijing amounts to 170 million cubic meters.
Besides gas supply to the Olympic Cauldron, all the natural gas used for restaurants in the Olympic village, hundreds of hotels and restaurants who signed contracts with the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG), and other public facilities for the reception of Olympic visitors are provided by CNPC via the two Shaan-Jing gas pipelines.
Since there was no emergency occurred, natural gas in Dagang's six underground gas storages remained unemployed.
CNPC will continue to supply sufficient nature gas for the Paralympics.
