| | | | Focusing on specialization, we reorganized and reintegrated our petroleum equipment manufacturing business, with 35 major manufacturers offering more than 180 types of products in three categories -- exploration and development equipment, petroleum pipes, and refining and chemical production equipment and instruments.
Equipment manufactured by CNPC has been exported to 69 countries and regions including North America, South America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Africa, Russia and Italy. Our Baoshi drilling rigs and the F series of mud pumps have become well-known products on the international market.
In 2007, CNPC signed USD 1.71 billion worth of new contracts and a trade volume of USD 1.02 billion was achieved, while 32 drilling rigs and many more drilling rig accessories were exported. We exported 1,293 pumping units, 1,472,000 meters of pumping rods and 5,780 oil well pumps, in addition to 209 diesel and natural gas engines, generators, engine sets and generator sets. These included the 180KW firedamp generator set exported to Tanzania, which has become one of the standard products selected by the United Nations biomass gasification power generation program.
Achievements in petroleum equipment
CNPC recorded the following achievements in petroleum equipment R&D and in the improvement of equipment manufacturing:
 The ZJ120/9000DB drilling rig has been developed independently by CNPC. It is a new land VFD rig with a maximum drilling depth of 12,000 meters, characterized by digital and intelligent control throughout the drilling process, designed with a maximum hook load of 9,000kN and a rated power of drawworks of 6,000HP and welded with high tensile, low-temperature resistant steel to operate in environments from -40℃ to 55℃.
The 9,000m AC frequency-variable electric drilling rig ZJ90DB and its auxiliary top-driven drilling unit DQ90BSC were developed, in addition to the F-2200HL heavy-duty drilling mud pump for this kind of rig.
After being put into industrial application along the Ji-Ning Branch of the West-East Gas Pipeline, the X80 Spiral Welded Steel Pipe with a diameter of 1,219mm and wall thickness of 18.4mm was put into mass production. This technically compliant pipe is the only type installed in the Second West-East Gas Pipeline.
The EILog-05 logging outfit was put into mass production and is being used extensively.
Our Jinan Diesel Engine Co. Ltd. worked with Austria's AVL List GmbH, developing the 3,000 and 601 series third-generation diesel engines.
The modular drilling rig for artificial islands in the Jidong Oilfield, which has a 7,000m ring-rail mobile drilling rig, was checked and accepted. The rail can turned, slipped and moved between the primary module and the circulating module.
The CYW-1422 vertical hydraulic large-diameter cold pipe bender was developed and has been successfully applied in the construction of large-diameter, long-distance pipelines overseas.
