In 2007, our breakthroughs in exploring the high-end overseas market included the construction of a petrochemical unit in Singapore, the EPC of a large petrochemical project in Saudi Arabia and a nitrogen fertilizer plant at Ningping in Vietnam, an EPCM project for Italy's Pirelli, and the first phase of construction of Russia's Far-East Crude Pipeline.

  In July 2006, we won the contract for India's East-West Gas Pipeline, one of India's major construction projects and were awarded 6 segments, which include the installation of 1,088km-long pipelines and the construction of stations. By using the most advanced CRC welding technologies in the world, we created a new welding record: 101 welds in a day with a single machine. By the end of 2007, we had completed the main part of this project.

  On November 16, 2006, we signed the master contract with Vietnam Chemicals Group for the Meitou chemical fertilizer project at Ningping in Vietnam. 

  We won the Kadia natural gas compression station contract from Pakistani Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL).

  In Thailand, we completed the construction of Wangnoi-Kaengkoi natural gas pipeline. The 72.8km-long pipeline runs mainly across water and swamps, as well as some mountains and hills.

  We completed a number of construction projects in Sudan. These included the 1.5Mt/a productivity construction in Block 1/2/4 (Neem), the surface construction of the 10Mt/a oilfield in Block 3/7, two 400kt/a viscosity-breaking units in Block 6, and the Phase II upgrade of Khartoum Refinery. We upgraded oilfield facilities in Block 1/2/4, and constructed oil and gas processing facilities in Neem Oilfield. In Block 3/7, we completed a power station and offshore terminal of crude pipeline, increasing the oilfield's productivity to 200,000 barrels per day.

  In Kazakhstan, we commenced the construction of the Third Zhanazhol Oil and Gas Processing Plant and the upgrade of North Buzachi. In 2007, we completed the natural gas production test project in Zhanazhol Oilfield and the first phase of the Third Oil & Gas Processing Plant. The second phase productivity construction project at North Buzachi Oilfield progressed smoothly.

 In Algeria, we steadily pushed forward construction of a 5Mt/a gas condense refinery. We also won the tender for a water pump station project from the Algerian Ministry of Water Resources.

In Russia, in the Far-East Crude Pipeline project, we installed the 170km-long trunk pipeline with a diameter of 48 inches in the eastern section from Aldan to Tynda. The welding of the main part of the pipeline is expected to be completed by March 2008.
