In 2008, we launched the "uSmile" brand for the integrated operation and management of our convenience shops. The smile design shows our service philosophy and quality in the sales business.

CNPC operates more than 2,300 "uSmile" convenience stores in some provincial capitals, coastal cities and municipalities. At these outlets, consumers can buy food, beverages and auto supplies, withdraw cash from ATMs, purchase lottery tickets and pay their mobile phone bills.

In the next five to ten years, we plan to preliminarily convert ourselves from a purely oil products retailer to an operator of a comprehensive service network of gas stations.

CNPC's Refueling Card System (RCS) is a massive IC card application project across different systems and regions. In this project, CNPC works with ICBC (Industrial and Commercial Bank of China) to electronically retail oil products, providing a better and more convenient customer experience.

Construction of the RCS began in 2000, and it has now been completed and put into operation in 12 pilot cities-Jixi, Dalian, Harbin, Shenyang, Changchun, Urumqi, Lanzhou, Yinchuan, Xining, Xi'an, Chongqing and Chengdu. Around 100,000 cards of different types have been issued. The IC Card Distribution System has been promoted by North China Marketing Company in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei Province, Henan Province and Shanxi Province. This system has been deployed in 138 gasoline and five gas fueling stations in Beijing. In addition to accepting the CNPC Refueling Card, Peony CNPC Card and Peony Transport Card, the system can also distribute tax-free fuel to foreign embassies and their diplomats in China.

In 2010, CNPC issued more than 5 million Kunlun fuel cards, which can now be used in our 16,050 service stations nationwide, giving the card owners quick and convenient access to refueling services.

Our Kunlun ROC (Rapid Oil Change) centers provide customers with a quality oil change service as well as efficient professional testing, car wash and maintenance services. 

We have established ROC centers in all major cities of China, and set up the "Home of Oil-change Workers" clubs. Local taxi drivers regularly gather to participate in club activities. Corporate and individual members can take part in the club's "Automobile Mechanics' Craftsmanship Competition" and other events, at which they learn more about lubricants and automobile repair.

Over the next few years, we plan to establish more ROC centers in other cities across China in order to provide the best possible service to our customers.
