On January 7, CNPC Southeast Asia Pipeline Co., Ltd. and Qingdao Port (Group) Co., Ltd. signed a strategic framework agreement on operating the oil wharf for the Myanmar-China Oil Pipeline in Beijing. The signing of the agreement will promote and propel the construction and management of the wharf, as well as the successful commissioning and steady operation of the Myanmar-China Oil Pipeline.
Before the signing ceremony, CNPC President Jiang Jiemin and Qingdao municipal party secretary Li Qun had talks on further strengthening cooperation on chemical, natural gas, pipeline, marketing and wharf operation.
The Myanmar-China Oil and Gas Pipeline is another important energy intake event after the Kazakhstan-China Crude Pipeline, Central Asia-China Gas Pipeline and Russia-China Crude Pipeline. Its designed annual delivery capacity is 22 million tons for oil and 12 billion cubic meters for gas. The construction of the Myanmar section and the Chinese section began on June 3rd and September 10, 2010, respectively. |
