On September 27, witnessed by Chinese President Hu Jintao and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, CNPC inked a general agreement with Russia's Transneft over the operation of the oil pipeline that stretches from Skovorodino in eastern Siberia to Mohe in Northeast China, a framework agreement with Gazprom to import natural gas to China, and an agreement with Rosneft on extending oil supply to the Russia-China Crude Pipeline, respectively.

On the afternoon of the same day, CNPC also reached an agreement on extending strategic cooperation with Russia's Lukoil.
