From August 3 to 10, a CNPC delegation, headed by President Jiang Jiemin, paid a visit to BP and Shell. Jiang interviewed BP CEO Tony Hayward and Shell CEO Peter Voser, as well as the senior management of the two companies respectively. They compared notes on deepening and expanding mutual cooperation.
During the visit, Jiang and CNPC delegation listened to BP's presentation about its strategies and organization, operational management systems, upstream and downstream sector, alternative energy, and visited HIVE 3D visualized data analysis system, and offshore rig of the ETAP project.
Shell also made a presentation to CNPC visitors about its global strategy, upstream and downstream business profile and strategy, technology and innovation, LNG business, and alternative energy. CNPC delegation visited Shell's upstream R&D center and Pernis refinery in Rotterdam. Jiang also met with Shell former CEO Van der Veer and Shell China chairman Lin Haoguang.
