On July 1, the oilfield surface engineering and pipeline construction of a CNPC's upstream project commenced in south Chad's Chari-Baguirmi Region. Chadian President Idriss Deby attended the ground-breaking ceremony and laid the foundation for the project.

The construction commencement of RONIER oilfield's surface engineering represents another progress of CNPC's business in Chad after the start of N'Djamena Refinery project in October last year, indicating that the first Sino-Chadian upstream and downstream integrated project has entered the stage of full implementation.
