CNPC and the government of Yunnan Province signed a framework agreement on strategic cooperation in Beijing on December 2.

Yunnan Province Party Secretary Bai Enpei, Governor Qin Guangrong and Vice-Governor Luo Zhengfu, and CNPC President Jiang Jiemin, and Vice Presidents Wang Yinlin, Li Xinhua and Liao Yongyuan attended the signing ceremony. Liao Yongyuan and Luo Zhengfu signed the agreement on behalf of each side.

According to the agreement, comprehensive cooperation will take place between CNPC and Yunnan Province in areas including major projects, the oil and gas marketing network and biomass energy.
