CNPC President Jiang Jiemin met Baktykozha Izmukhambetov, Kazakh Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, at CNPC headquarters on December 20. After the meeting, CNPC Vice-President Zhou Jiping and KazMunaiGas E&P Executive President signed an agreement on the basic principles of the second stage of Kazakhstan-China oil pipeline construction by China National Petroleum Corporation and KazMunaiGas E&P. Mr. Izmukhambetov was accompanying Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev on his official visit to China.
