CNPC honored as Best Practice Cases of Belt and Road energy cooperation

On October 18-19, the 2nd Belt and Road Energy Ministerial Conference, themed "Join Hands towards a Greener and More Inclusive Energy Future", was held in Qingdao city, Shandong province. During the event, the Qingdao Initiative for Belt and Road Green Energy Cooperation and the Best Practice Cases of the Belt and Road Energy Cooperation were unveiled. CNPC's Integrated Project in Niger, Central Asia-China Gas Pipeline Line A/B/C Project, Yamal LNG Cooperation Project were honored as the Best Practice Cases.

Moreover, the Conference approved the Charter of the Belt and Road Energy Partnership (BREP), held the BREP membership expansion ceremony, announced the inauguration of the BREP cooperation network and the establishment of 7 working groups, with CNPC as the leader of the Oil & Gas Working Group.

Jointly sponsored by the National Energy Administration of China and the People's Government of Shandong Province, the 2nd Belt and Road Energy Ministerial Conference was organized in a hybrid with a combination of virtual and in-person attendance. Energy ministers and high-level representatives from 28 countries, diplomats from 18 countries and heads of 9 international organizations attended the meeting. Centering on Belt and Road green energy cooperation, the participants carried out in-depth exchanges, reaching extensive consensus and achieving fruitful results.
