CNPC signs scholarship agreements with 17 universities

On September 28, CNPC signed the CNPC Scholarship Agreement with some Chinese universities represented by Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, and China University of Petroleum (Beijing), with the number of universities increasing from 13 to 17.

Established in 2001, the CNPC Scholarship has been an important initiative of CNPC to support education and fulfill its social responsibilities, with over 14,000 beneficiary students in the past two decades. While helping reduce the burden of life for students in need and attracting outstanding graduates to join the company as well, CNPC, through the Scholarship, has played an important role in supporting the development of education, capacity building of talents, as well as facilitating social employment and promoting social harmony and stability.

CNPC will further strengthen communication with colleges and universities, seek new ways and more areas of cooperation, establish a mechanism for training & tracking students development, and form a featured training model that integrates scholarship with career direction & development, in an effort to make joint contributions in promoting the training of high-quality talents, and bolstering the development of education in China.
