| | | Oil and Gas Operations
On June 15, 1993, CNPC acquired a 15.8865% operating interest in North Twining Oilfield and 11.477% equity of the natural gas processing plant in Alberta province.
On August 28, 2009, we successfully acquired 60% of equity of MacKay River and Dover oil sands assets of Athabasca Oil Sands Corp, which signaled a major breakthrough for CNPC in the overseas unconventional energy sector. On December 29, the deal was approved by the Investment Review Department of the Federal Ministry of Industry of Canada. On February 10, 2010, we signed documents with Canada’s Athabasca Oil Sands Corporation to complete the handover of the MacKay River and Dover oil sands projects. |
