K&K Oilfield is located in Kura Basin, covering an area of 470 square kilometers. In January 2002, CNPC signed a production sharing contract on K&K (Kursangi and Karabagli) Oilfield and acquired 50% equity of the field.
Gobustan Oilfield
In January 2003, CNPC bought a 62.83% holding in CGL (Commonwealth Gobustan Limited) and thereby acquired 50.26% equity of the Gobustan Oilfield. The field is situated on the western coast of the Caspian Sea, with a total area of 600 square kilometers.
In October 2004, exploration well DUV-102, allocated at Duvnny Block, produced 250,000 cubic meters of natural gas and 60 cubic meters of gas condensate. In September 2005, exploration drilling was launched in the deep zones of the field.
