| | | Technology Package Developed for Commercial Production of High-performance Carbon Fiber and Precursor | | CNPC has independently developed a technology package for the preparation of high-performance T300 carbon fiber and precursor. Difficulties in scaling up engineering of large-scale intermittent ACN polymerization reactors have been addressed and the matching between spinning and carbonization are no longer an obstacle. The core technologies to prepare highly even products with little defects have also been grasped. A 10t/a and a 100t/a industrial plant for precursor and carbon fibers have been built. This is China's first fully-copyrighted unit that can output 100 metric tons of space use T300 carbon fiber and precursor a year. Having broken the long-term monopoly of foreign technologies, the unit has solved critical technology problems that affect the performance indexes of carbon fiber, producing T300 carbon fiber products with all performance indexes reaching or exceeding the advanced worldwide products of the same type. Five technological innovations have enabled us to develop a software package for the industrial preparation of carbon fibers and precursors. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
