| | Mr. Zhou has a master's degree in geology. He has nearly 40 years of working experience in China's oil and gas industry. |
| In November 1996, Mr. Zhou was appointed Vice President of China National Oil & Gas Exploration and Development Corporation （CNODC） and President of Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Company (Sudan). |
| In December 1997, he was made President of China National Oil & Gas Exploration and Development Corporation. |
In August 2001, he was appointed Assistant President of CNPC and also worked as President of China National Oil & Gas Exploration and Development Corporation.
In December 2003, Mr. Zhou was made Vice President of CNPC.
Since May 2008, he has been named Vice Chairman and President of PetroChina.
Mr. Zhou was appointed President of CNPC in November 2011. |
