Part 8 Cementing Units
With 50 years experience of manufacturing cementing units, China can design and manufacture all kinds of cementing units in conformity with specified requirements of customers, such as truck-mounted, trailer-mounted and skid-mounted cementing units with double engines and double pumps or with single engine and single pump. These units are driven by mechanical transmission and hydraulic transmission, with the working pressure ranging from 5, 000-14, 500 psi, and with manual or automatic mode of slurry mixing.
In China, the annual output of cementing units is over 600 sets. These units are widely used for well cementing, flushing, water flooding and acid injection operations in the oilfields of China and are also exported to Canada, India, CIS and other countries. All series of cementing units are manufactured strictly conforming to ISO 9001.
The pressure range are 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 70 and 100 MPa (5,075, 5,802, 6,527, 7,250, 7,977, 10,150 and 14,500 psi). The displacement ranges from 900 L/min (31.8 ft3/min) to 3, 300 L/min (117 ft3/min).
The cementing unit can be equipped with Tornado re-circulating mud mixing system or automatic mud mixing system with mud density controlled by computer at customers’ option. The whole unit is controlled by electric circuit system, hydraulic system, pneumatic system and mechanical driving system.
CPTDC can supply a complete package of cementing units include cementing unit, bulk cement truck, bulk cement tank and transport truck, manifold and water tank.
● Features
The pump is of one-piece fluid end and triplex plunger construction. The plunger surface is sprayed with nickel particle to extend the service life.
The power end is of steel plate welded construction with eccentric crank shaft for compact profile and light weight.
The hydraulic drive and the chain drive are adopted for less noise and vibration.
The pump is of high spin to increase displacement. The single pump displacement per minute is up to 2, 100 L (74.2 ft3).
The centralized control of electric, air, hydraulic and mechanical systems is adopted for convenient operation and high degree of automation.
Advanced ADC auto-controlled slurry mixing system is adopted.
The over pressure shutdown device is equipped to protect equipment and personnel under the high pressure conditions.
For the cementing unit with double engines and pumps, the displacement per minute is up to 3, 300 L (117 ft3).
The truck-mounted cementing unit is suitable for various road conditions in oilfields. Chassis are optional: Mercedes Benz, Kenworth. Volvo, IHC, Tatra. etc, Customers can specify any other chassis.

3. Bulk Cement Truck
● Introduction
Equipped with air operated loading, discharge and separation units for bulk cement, the bulk cement truck is widely used for loading, unloading, transportation, storage and operation of bulk cement. When used in oil or gas well cementing job, this truck features high efficiency in performance, no pollution, small loss of cement and high quality of cementing job.

● Powered by truck engine; self-supplying air source; independent and continuous working in severe conditions
● Both vertical and horizontal tanks for loading and discharge of bulk cement are available. Optimum air-cement ratio and rational layout ensure no leakage of air and sufficient discharge of bulk cement.
● Air-cement separator (optional) at discharge end separates the air from cement for the improvement of working environment of well site.

6. Oil/Water Tank Truck
Oil/water tank truck is mainly used for adding and transporting oil and/or water in oilfields. It basically consists of chassis, oval shape tank, steam heating coil, and inlet and outlet flanges. The heating coil inside the tank is used to reduce oil viscosity and prevent water from freezing to ensure flow ability of fluid in winter. An engine exhaust gas discharge device is also provided at the front cover of the tank to increase discharge speed. Other different trucks and tanks can be provided according to customers’ requirements.
