During May 20 – June 8, the Secretary of the Party Committee Li Wei headed a delegation to Costa Rica and Canada for field research and cooperative negotiation.
During the visit in Costa Rica, Secretary Li Wei visited SORESCO S. A., a joint venture of Costa Rica Refinery project, met the general manager and asked about the progress of the project; he also introduced to the cooperative party about the overall condition and the petrochemical business of CPTDC. During the meeting, Li Wei expressed the desire to strengthen cooperation, and promised to do our best in progress control, quality control and cost control over the supplied products as required, and fulfil the responsibility of service assurance for CNPC overseas projects. During his visit in Costa Rica, Secretary Li Wei also visited major local customers and cooperative partners, communicated and discussed the overall thought for exploring petroleum equipment market in Central and South America and strengthening cooperation.
On May 27, Secretary Li Wei went to Canada. During the visit in Canada, he visited PEMSCO and CASCO, debriefed reports on business conditions of both companies and inspected the storage center in Canada. He also visited WDI Canada, Certified and other major customers, looked into the market condition, production status and development level of the cooperative partners, and discussed how to display comparative advantages and identify market positioning in the development of the enterprise, so as to realize the enterprise development goals. In addition, Secretary Li Wei also met the general manager of Canwell and Novamen respectively, and made thorough exchange and communication on how to cooperate, which played a positive role in promoting the further development of petrochemical market in Canada.
On June 7, Secretary Li Wei attended the Calgary Petroleum Exhibition in Canada and received exclusive interview from Canadian OMNI TV reporter.
