On 19th April, the first set of 300-feet offshore jack-up drilling platform manufactured with independent intellectual property right was successfully undocked after having been assembled and tested in the dock. It was the first time for CPTDC to undertake the manufacturing of a complete set of offshore drilling platform for export, which is attributed to years of experiences in export of onshore platforms and based on market tracking and many rounds of tough negotiations. It was also the first time for CNPC to export a complete set of offshore drilling equipment which was CPTDC’s new achievement in independent innovation, marking a new high in China’s petroleum equipment manufacturing. President Bi Yueming, vice president Fan Shihong and relevant personnel from Offshore Engineering Branch are present at the ceremony.
The successful undocking also marks a significant milestone of the project, which will not only greatly facilitate the successful implementation of the whole project but also promote the exploration of the market of petroleum equipment. This set of offshore platform will be delivered to the user after being equipped with matching devices and commissioning.
