During October 5-8, CNPC delegation attended the 19th Kazakhstan International Oil & Gas Exhibition (KIOGE 2011) held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. KIOGE 2011 has attracted more than 450 companies from 25 countries for exhibition. China, Germany, Italy, Canada, Russia and France have organized state group exhibits, such as KazMunaiGas, Caspian Pipeline Company, CNPC and Petronas. The statistics show that over 8,000 oil/gas industry experts visited the Exhibition.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the independence of Kazakhstan and the 6th Eurasian Energy Forum. Therefore, the subject of KIOGE 2011 is “Kazakhstan: 20 Years Sustainable Development, New Opportunity of Investment and Cooperation”. One major topic proposed in this Exhibition is “Look towards the East and Plural Views on the Increasing Oil and Gas Market Prospect of China”. The latest progress of China- Kazakhstan Oil and Gas Pipeline Project will be disclosed in KIOGE 2011.
In KIOGE 2011, the delegation introduced the overall strength and business scale of CNPC, and made rolling broadcasting of the CNPC technology promotion video, which focuses on the special technologies, instruments and equipment as well as the newly developed power plants on heavy oil, reservoir reconstruction, low permeability, polymer, natural gas exploration and development and other engineering. The experts from Drilling Research Institute and CNPC Group Western
Drilling Engineering Co., Ltd. hold special lectures on drilling, gas lifting, coiled tubing, etc., which presented the advanced technologies and advantages of CNPC in the above fields. The models of jack-up offshore drilling platform, electrical submersible pump, coiled tubing unit and diesel engine received many visits and consulting, which contributed to excellent exhibiting effect. CNPC was conferred with “Best Booth Design Award” at KIOGE 2011.
During the exhibition, the leaders and staff of CPTDC Kazakhstan office provided great assistance, and organized local employees to introduce the exhibited products and provide interpretations. The Kazakhstan office and CPTDC exhibit group communicated and negotiated with the potential clients and suppliers, and knew more marketing information and business opportunities. From this exhibition, established the initial cooperation intention and achieved excellent advertizing effect. It sets the stage for the market potential development and resources acquisition from local and surrounding areas.
