Baoji Petroleum Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. (Abbreviated as BSG) is under China National Petroleum Corporation (Abbreviated as CNPC), its original name was Baoji Petroleum Steel Pipe & Tube Works, which was established in 1958 and was one of 156 national key projects during the First Five-Year Plan in China. And it was also the first Spiral Submerged Arc Welded Pipe manufacturer in China. Over the past 50 years since established, in particular since successful restructuring in 2002, BSG has been the first class national enterprise integrating with scientific research, pipe manufacturing, pipe coating and casing machining and manufacturing of welding wire, welding flux, coating materials for welded pipe, acting as the backbone enterprise of China petroleum pipeline supplier after many times expansion and reformation and technology introduction, and it has been the specialized pipe company which has the biggest scale, the fullest variety, the strongest strength, the highest market share, and also the best growth.

    Today’s BSG consists of six parts: BSG takes the principal part as headquarters, and owns two wholly owned enterprises: Liaoyang Pipe Mill and Ziyang Pipe Mill, and also own three holding enterprises: Baoji Sumitomo Metal Petroleum Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., Shanghai BSW Petro-Pipe Co, Ltd. and Qinhuangdao BSS Petro-Pipe Co., Ltd. After completion of all the new projects, the steel pipe’s annual production capacity of BSG will reach to 2,115,000 tons (including 300,000 tons of casing; 15,000 tons of coiled tubing), the annual capacity of pipe coating is 14,900,000 square meters. Welded wire is 3000 tons, PE coating material is 15,000 tons, welding fluxes is 4000 tons, pipe ends protector is 450,000 pieces, thread protectors for casing is 100,000 pieces.

    With the strong technology support, BSG owns the Welded Pipe Research Institute with best welded pipe researching resources in China. It is the center of China welded pipe procedure research, test and inspection and technical information. Meanwhile, BSG is the drafting unit of the national and petroleum industrial standards for welded pipe, and also issues the only technical journal <Welded Pipe> in welded pipe industry in China.

    BSG always adhere to the business philosophy “Marching forward along the pipelines all over the world and succeeding through superior quality”, and constantly open up the international and domestic market, and strive to achieve the business goals of “Where there is Oil, there is BSG”. Since founded, BSG has manufactured more than 6.8 million tons, 240,000 kilometers of welded pipes, supplied to more than 200 key long distance pipelines, and always keeps the first share in domestic market, and has contributed to the development of petroleum & nature gas industry. During participated in the landmark project of western development—“West to East Gas Pipeline Project”, BSG was awarded the honor of “Advanced Collective of West to East Gas Pipeline Project” and” Excellent Supplier”, which further enhanced the brand image of BSG.

    BSG actively promotes overseas strategy, and the welded pipes have been exported to more than 20 countries, such as Pakistan, India, Sudan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, USA and Saudi Arabia etc. In 2006, BSG won the contract of manufacturing and coating of 600,000 tons pipes for East to West Gas Pipeline Project in Indian. This is the biggest order issued to one company at one time so far in the world, and created the highest export record of the product among China petroleum and equipment manufacturing enterprises.

    BSG takes scientific concept of development as the guide for the overall development of enterprise, and strives for building harmonious enterprise, and continuously makes new achievements in the construction of three civilizations. It has been successively awarded many honorary titles, such as the first batch of “National Civilized Unit”, “May First Labor Model”, “Family of the National Model Staff”,” National May Fourth Red Flag Youth League Committee” etc. BSG firstly obtained the right to use the API Monogram, and CSQA, DNV certificates as well as national HSE/OHS/EMS certificates. In 2005 and 2006, BSG was awarded “National Product Exemption From Quality Surveillance Inspection” and “China top brand certificate” by AQSIQ，and was awarded “National Satisfaction Product” in 2007.
